Meet the team
Hanlons Brewery are a family- run business with a history of brewing excellent ales and a mission of producing world- class craft beers.
Dan Taylor and Jim Bungard bought the O’Hanlons brewery business in 2013 and promptly set about building a high spec new premises on Dan’s family farm. While successfully moving all staff and expertise to the new site the Hanlons team are made up of family members and a great team of beer loving enthusiasts!
Our recipes are not produced ‘’just to be different’’, they are all about great taste, consistency and fantastic flavours.
Our mission is to produce world class craft beers. We are passionate about producing beers with the taste that our customers love.
Forget the added preservatives and indigestible commercial beers on the market, we are all about providing excellent real craft beer. We use the best quality barley and hops from the UK’s top suppliers and water from our rolling Devon hills.

A sustainable business
At Hanlons we pride ourselves on being a sustainable and environmentally friendly business. All of our water is from our own bore holes and the spent grains go to the local farmer or the Hanlons pigs. Delivery mileage is kept to a minimum and we have also recently installed a tailor-made solar PV system to power all of the machinery. Using the expertise of local company, SunGift Solar, energy-usage patterns were analysed in depth and the solar system installed to perfectly match the brewery’s requirements.
